Every 6-8 weeks, every student has the option to play piano in front of an audience. All students are welcome, and participation is encouraged but always optional.

Single Lessons

FAQ for Piano and Keyboard Lessons
When there is desire, fingers can move independently, and focus ability lasts for at least 20 minutes, it may be time to start! Your first lesson will allow your teacher to assess and discuss readiness and can offer suggestions for effective entry into lessons.
It’s never too late to start piano or keyboard lessons at VMS! The piano is one of the best instruments to begin later, even in the “golden” years! Studies show that learning to play can maintain and improve mental clarity, cognitive functioning, muscle coordination, and much more, at any age. And besides, it’s fun.
For in-person piano lessons, masks are no longer required but are always honored. We also have them on hand, so if you want one, ask! If you prefer for your convenience, all lessons are available online. In addition, the COVID-certified iWave air scrubber is installed in our central air systems throughout the building, as well as many in-room air purifiers are also installed for sparkling, healthy, clean air!
If you don’t already have a piano or keyboard, that’s fine! During your first lesson you will discuss with the instructor what is best for beginning lessons. There are many rental and purchase options available to get started, and your teacher will advise you about finding the right choice for you.
