Our Story

Vaughan Music Studios opened in 2006 in Upper Arlington, Ohio, with ten students. It rapidly outgrew the space and moved into a building down the street, then known as “The Crescent Building.” It took 12 months to fully redesign and convert the interior of the 1960’s office building into a music facility. The 50+ separate offices with 60s’-style paneled walls and vertical blinds transformed into soundproof classrooms, a state-of-the-art recording studio, and a 1000 sq ft performance & live recording space. VMS is now serving hundreds of students and clients from beginners and hobbyists to advanced students and industry professionals. VMS students and clients are enjoying…

Our Philosophy

Vaughan Music Studios is a place where all are encouraged and empowered to become more of who they are. The vehicle we use is music. As the times change, VMS evolves, as does the new music world. 2020 has imposed changes that we have yet to uncover – and create. VMS nods a thank you to all that music has brought us and commits itself to mentor today’s musicians towards tomorrow with open minds and hearts. We desire to empower and set free the future music that each of us has within.
