VMS electric bass instructors are highly skilled players with music degrees and extensive professional performance, touring, and recording experience. A well-rounded, highly trained, and experienced teacher can provide a much deeper understanding of each student’s needs and concerns. All are devoted to the progress of their students. Lessons are customized to fit the interest and learning style of each student.

Parents and students taking electric bass lessons may log in to the VMS student portal to track assignments and teacher notes for every lesson.

Take what you learn in your bass lessons and expand your learning experience! Perform in a showcase, record in our state-of-the-art studio, or play bass guitar in a band or a combo – All at VMS! Extend your learning in various ways as you grow into the bassist you have envisioned.
Every 6-8 weeks, you can play bass guitar in front of our in-house audience. All students are welcome, and participation is encouraged but always optional.

FAQ for Bass Lessons

It is advisable to come to your first lesson with your instrument, but if you do not have one yet, let us know when you sign up. Your teacher will prepare to let you use one and will advise you about purchasing the right bass for you and your lessons.
For in-person electric bass guitar lessons, masks are no longer required but are always honored. We also have them on hand, so if you want one, ask! If you prefer for your convenience, all lessons are available online. In addition, the COVID-certified iWave air scrubber is installed in our central air systems throughout the building, as well as many in-room air purifiers are also installed for sparkling, healthy, clean air!
