Why did you want to take voice lessons?
"I wanted to take voice lessons because I had no basic knowledge of the voice and how to use it properly. I have a decent music background, but I have recently started singing more in the projects that I am involved with and I wanted to feel confident in what I was doing. A friend who works at VMS mentioned that VMS offers voice lessons and I figured it was worth trying out."
What was your first voice lesson like?
"Cindy, my instructor, took the time to get to know me and learn about my musical background. I felt like she zeroed in on what my goals were and where I was at with my control of my voice. She is a very great teacher and I appreciate her ability to relate to you as musician and as a person."
How have you progressed so far since starting lessons?
"I feel like I am noticing a difference in the control of my voice. I am not overthinking how to get to notes and I am not straining. I feel way more comfortable singing now!"
